Caleb and I love to visit London. It’s probably our favorite city in the world, so whenever we get a chance, we love to go! London in February can be cold and rainy, but we definitely lucked out with some blue sky days too. Here’s what we did while we were there:
Where We Stayed:
We stayed at The Goring in Belgravia this trip. The location was great and we were able to walk most places. The hotel is beautiful and decorated in a very classic English decor. Our room had an amazing patio overlooking their private gardens.
What We Did:
- Sir John Soane Museum
- London Silver Vaults
- Fulham football game – Caleb is a Fulham fan and it’s a quick walk from my grandmother’s house. But, there are a ton of different football teams to watch while in London!
- Colombia Road Flower Market (only open on Sunday mornings)
- Hyde Park
- Explored Mayfair
- Shopping along Bond Street
Where We Ate:
- The Buttery: A beautiful spot in Belgravia with delicious breakfast
- Ralph’s: We stopped here for coffee one day and sat outside overlooking Bond Street
- Dumpling’s Legend: It was Chinese New Year, so we stopped by Chinatown for some of the festivities and lunch. This spot was so fun – served family style.
- The Oak Room: We stumbled upon this restaurant our first day in London and it was such a great find! It’s above a pub – super cozy and elevated casual for lunch.
- Coppa Club: We ate here before the Fulham game and it was beautiful and food was great, too.
- The Dove: We walked here after the Fulham game and had a great pub dinner. Caleb said it was the best fish & chips he’s had.
- The Goring: A beautiful bar to have a drink or have afternoon tea
- Gymkhana: Hands down one of our favorite meals we’ve ever had. It was just awarded two michelin stars and the food was truly amazing. The ambiance, drinks and food were outstanding!
- Duke’s Bar: A martini bar experience – highly recommend!
- Circolo Populare: A buzzing Italian restaurant
