Most of the time our favorite pieces to buy are those unique pieces that make a statement and are fun to wear. In reality, because of our 8-5 jobs, when we get home from work we want to put on classic pieces that can be worn again and again. Those pieces that are so easy to wear without thinking too hard! Lately we’ve been noticing a major lack of these items in our closets, and decided to start focusing on adding on a few of those go-to pieces, to get our closets back to basics.

When starting the search for back to basics, the first thing we looked for was a new white button down shirt. It may seem like it should be an easy thing to find, but it’s hard to find just the right one! We didn’t want a “business” one, stiff and uptight. And we didn’t want anything impractical like a sheer one that we would have to wear with a cami. After many tries, this white button down was the winner. It’s the perfect boyfriend shirt and the price point could not be any better- it’s only $55! We ended up loving this shirt so much that we got it in the blue version too! Seen here.
