One of the things we love about traveling in Europe is how easy it is to get around using public transportation. When we decided to visit France, we thought it would also be easy to add on a side trip by train from there. Neither Caleb nor I had been to Belgium before, so we decided to visit the city of Bruges in Belgium.
After the bustle of London & Paris, this little city was a quaint and charming stop for us. We stayed in Markt Center, at the beautiful Hotel Heritage (a Relais & Chateaux property), which was within walking distance of pretty much everything. Our room was gorgeous & we had delicious Belgian chocolates waiting for us each night, and a great hotel bar! At the top of our list of things to do was wandering like locals, so we spent our time biking & walking through the city. Bruges is known for chocolate, beer, wonderful food, and Belgian waffles, of course! We pretty much ate & drank our way through the city.
