Recently we were in Charleston for a quick getaway. We wanted to do something extra fun to celebrate Katherine’s birthday and a weekend away seemed like the perfect idea. Going somewhere she hadn’t been was our main criteria, so we decided to spend 48 hours in Charleston. It’s such a quick and easy flight from Dallas and with so many great places to eat, and fun shopping opportunities, it was everything we were looking for!
We had big plans to explore the city, but it rained most of the time we were there! Instead of exploring, we basically ate and drank our way through our 48 hours there! We had some of the best meals, great conversations and so much laughter. It was the perfect relaxing trip to celebrate Katherine’s birthday.

The Restoration: Loved the location! Also, breakfast and coffee delivered to our rooms each morning, wine and cheese in the evening and warm cookies at night 🙂

Chubby Fish: Umm, yum for fresh everything seafood
Josephine Wine Bar: First birthday dinner- so cute and so yummy!
The Darling Oyster Bar: Brunch on Sunday- we did not want to leave!
Tradd’s: Second birthday dinner 🙂 This is a new restaurant on the Charleston dining scene. It is beautiful and everything we had was amazing!
167 Raw: We ended our trip with lunch here. It was a favorite from Jean and Stia’s trip to Charleston and it didn’t disappoint this time either!
