Southern California is always one of our favorite places to visit and we were so excited to spend a few days last week in Del Mar. We were able to take the boys to the beach, attend our cousin’s high school graduation and see so much of our out of town family that were there. It was such a fun (and quick) getaway!

We stayed at L’Auberge in downtown Del Mar and it was perfect. We had rooms on the first floor with small patios- perfect for William to run around when he woke up. The beach valet service is amazing for families with small children, actually it’s perfect for anyone who wants to go spend some time on the beach. They loaded up all the necessities on a large golf cart and hauled everything, including us, down to the beach. They set up beach chairs, towels and umbrellas and brought sand toys and boogie boards for us to use. When we were ready to go back to the hotel, they came and packed us all up. Like we said- amazing!

This was Henry’s first time at the beach and he absolutely loved it! He loved crawling around in the sand and he ate way too much of it. William loved it even more than he did last year. As soon as we hit the beach, he had his shoes off and was racing towards the water, ready to build a sand castle. Now that we know we have two beach loving babies, we just can’t wait for our next beach vacation. We would love to spend more of our summer in Del Mar – this trip was way too fast!
