must have boot(ies) for fall

This weekend, we got our first taste of fall! And let’s just say it was a welcome change from the summer heat. In honor of the occasion, we pulled together our must-have boots for fall. Last year we invested in the Stuart Weitzman 50/50 boots and we will be living in them again this year. A few more to add to our shopping list: peep toe booties, laser cut booties (got them!) & adding some moto boots into the mix! What are your must-have boots for fall?

chambray dress

A lightweight, chambray dress just about defines summer style. We love the look of chambray, but aren’t totally sure how we feel about denim on denim. We have yet to wear a ‘Canadian tuxedo,’ but we are sold on this chambray dress. The Nuthatch line was first introduced to us by the ladies at Bel Air Home. They have introduced us to a few of our new favorites! See another look from Bel Air Home here. With our trip to California in mind, we picked up this little chambray dress and wore it to brunch and shopping. We think it will fit in fine right here in Texas too!

PS- How beautiful is this outdoor living space at the Rancho Bernardo Inn? We definitely enjoyed cocktails here one night!

Happy Tuesday! We’re just returning to Dallas after an amazing long weekend at the Four Seasons Scottsdale. Sorry for the Instagram over load–we did not want to leave! PS- we have an amazing giveaway planned with the Four Seasons, so be sure to check back soon!

As we’ve said before, we live in maxis in the summer. Usually, we lean towards casual maxis to run errands in or for lounging, but recently we’ve started to find other occasions for maxis. The mixed prints and cut out details make this maxi just that much more of a statement- perfect for a casual summer dinner on the patio. We love the muted colors, and the tribal print adds some flair. A metallic sandal & a layer of dainty gold jewelry complete the look!
