Part two of our trip we spent in France and we road tripped there from London. Yes, we drove the car onto a train and then traveled through the Chunnel! Sunday was a leisurely drive for us: we stopped in little towns for pain au chocolat, a picnic & exploring and that evening we ended up in the charming town of Bayeux. Having never been to Normandy before, we spent our time exploring the American Cemetry, Pointe du Hoc, explored Bayeux and ate and drank all day!

If we are anywhere near Paris, you know we have to spend a little bit of time there! On Tuesday after leaving Bayeux, we hopped on a quick train to Paris for a couple of days and one night. We stayed at a charming hotel, Hotel Saint Vincent, in Saint Germain des Pres. What a beautiful hotel, with a huge bathroom & windows overlooking a perfect courtyard! Not to mention a great location for us to walk anywhere in Paris. Since we spent a week in Paris last year, this trip was really about the wandering, eating, drinking & of course shopping!

If you follow us on Instagram, you know Stia & Caleb traveled abroad last week. Most of our trips to Europe start and end in London, because that’s where our grandparents live, and this was trip was no exception. We love to go to London, not only to see our grandparents, but because we love the city! If you’ve never been to London, seeing all the touristy stuff is a must, but we also love spending time finding special little shops and markets, visiting a lot of pubs and just wandering through the amazing neighborhoods discovering places that feel like they are just our own! Feel free to reach out if you are traveling to London and are looking for any other suggestions. We are spoiled with home cooked gourmet meals at my grandparents flat every night, so we don’t have many dinner suggestions!

stripes on stripes

Stripes find a way into our wardrobe in a variety of options: tops, dresses & scarves. And they always seem to make it into our suitcase when we travel! This particular look was worn in Austin recently, and instead of opting for just one set of stripes, we went for double stripes. When the weather starts to cool down, this will look perfect with a cozy camel coat.
