The Harem pant

Last fall we purchased our first pair of harem pants. We were intrigued by 1) the comfort, 2) another alternative to jeans, and 3) the ease of looking put together. The harem pants we purchased in the fall were a lace pair from Haute Hippie, see them here. They are adorable, but just not practical everyday! So we began a hunt for a harem pant that could be worn casual or dressed up, and for many different occasions. We found so many great looks, it seems like every designer has a version! We settled on this pair by Soft Joie. They have the look we wanted with easy care and a great price point! For this date night look, we paired them with this Parker crop top and our go-to black wedges. We think it’s a winner!

Milk & honey/Polish Fashion Show

Milk & Honey is one of our favorite Dallas boutiques & we love what Polish stands for, bringing young professional women together to encourage one another in their careers & their faith. So, when the two got together to present this runway style fashion show, we knew it would be incredible! The venue was in downtown Dallas in a loft space and set the perfect ambience for the night. Lauren Scruggs, writer of LOLO magazine, was the emcee for the night. She started the evening with a very moving talk about her walk by faith after her tragic accident, and her new non-profit foundation to provide young women with attractive prothestic devices, regardless of their financial situation. She then moved into talking about Spring/Summer14 trends with fashions provided by Milk and Honey Boutique, while we watched amazing looks walk down the runway. We made lots of notes of our favorites to add to our closet! Following the show, we enjoyed sips & sweets provided by Society Bakery, visiting with some of our favorite gals, surrounded by gorgeous florals by Posh Floral.
