We love maxi dresses in the summer time! Our Target dresses, like these are our go-to for summer lounging around the house. But maxi dresses are so versatile! Opting for a little more glammed up look, like this striped version, is perfect for shopping or lunch with the girls. We found some great ones here and here! There’s something about a maxi that’s so much more comfortable in the summer heat than a pair of jeans. Add a great pair of wedges like these or these and a colorful clutch or tote and you’ve pulled together a great summer look without any fuss!

As we said here last week , we’ve become big fans of the dressy short. These silk floral shorts are another good example. The muted floral print makes it easy to pair a lot of different colors of tops– which is always a plus! And, the drawstring tie and pleated details look great with a crop top as we’ve styled it here, or with an Equipment shirt tucked in. And some words we live by: The higher the heel, the dressier we feel! So these heels amp up the dressiness, but this gladiator sandal would look great too if we wanted to dress the outfit down. We may just have to get them in every pattern!
