Baked Alaska has been one of our favorite desserts for as long as we can remember. It’s something we like to make for a special occasion, such as Birthday Dinner! We think of it as the original ice cream cake – only better! The fun thing about Baked Alaska is that you bake it in the oven and it comes out with a beautiful browned, warm meringue covering & inside you find creamy, cold ice cream. The cake base & ice cream can be any flavors you choose. Some of our favorite combos are chocolate cake with coffee ice cream, or white cake with Neopolitan ice cream. We also like to make it flambé, which means that you light the outside on fire – it makes a pretty spectacular presentation!
