February seems to revolve around hearts, pink, love and flowers – after all, it is the month of Valentine’s Day and leading us into spring! Actually, we tend to love pink year round & it makes us happy that it’s the Pantone 2014 color of the year (Radiant Orchid).  This shift dress is the perfect shade and it’s definitely saying “spring!” here!  We love the subtle layers and print on the fabric for great detailing.  Think pink!

valentine’s brunch

Valentine’s Day is one of our favorite holidays.  We’ve always thought of Valentine’s Day as a day to celebrate love of all kinds, whether it be husband, boyfriend, friend or family. Plus, who doesn’t love the color pink, or an excuse for flowers & candy?!  A few weekends ago, we got together for a wonderful brunch with some of our blogger besties.  About half of us live in Dallas, while the rest flew in from around the country.  It was the perfect morning, filled with beautiful florals, champagne, lots of pink & our dear friends, including 14 of our favorite bloggers!  And the icing on the cake, to top off all the friends & fun – our Valentine’s Brunch was featured on Glitter Guide yesterday!

Be sure to take a look at our friends’ blogs– we think you’ll love them as much as we do. puffer coat

Can you believe it’s February?  And still no sign of spring here!  Usually in Dallas we can count on short, warmer winters.  This one has been an exception.  With few 60+ degree days, winter has seemed to drag on.  Originally, this puffer coat was bought to keep warm for work trips in Chicago.  The down coat is long enough to keep the majority of your body warm, but with the belt at the waist the shape doesn’t make you feel like a gigantic marshmallow (at least not ALL the time).  Plus, the down keeps you so warm there’s no need to layer underneath. We typically opt for one of our favorite equipment tops & stay warm without feeling or looking bulky.  The neutral color makes it very wearable and the fur collar adds the perfect touch.  We’re especially happy to have this coat in our wardrobe this cold winter!  Shop below to see some of our favorite puffer coats that will help keep you warm and stylish, all at the same time!
