We were fully expecting to have some cooler weather when we got back from Florida, but it is still very summer-like weather. Not that we are complaining, we know the cooler days will be here soon! The nights have cooled down a bit, so it has been nice to add a few fall items, specifically this leather jacket & these booties, to this adorable shift dress.

Leather is one of our favorite things to wear when the weather starts to cool down. Most commonly we see black leather as an option, but this season we have been seeing leather in an array of colors. We especially love this brown leather skirt from Zara, which we picked up last year in London. As a pencil skirt, this leather skirt is office appropriate but can be worn in many other ways, too.

navy dress

Most of the time we prefer navy to black. Yes, we agree it is completely necessary to have multiple little black dresses in a wardrobe, but sometimes navy adds an unexpected twist! French Connection has been a long time favorite for us. They have great party dresses, shoes & jackets. This little navy number was added to our shopping cart immediately! With the cutout floral detail, great length & in this fabulous no-wrinkle fabric, we knew this dress was a winner!
