We are so thrilled with the arrival of Henry! It was a little rough being on pins and needles wondering about Stia’s baby’s gender, but now we can relax and enjoy another precious baby boy. William has stepped right up into the big brother role in a very big way

We picked up this blush pink silk top while we were shopping J.Crew’s Labor Day sale and we are obsessed. It’s such a simple style, but the luxe silk really dresses it up. Dallas saw its first round of light snow this weekend, and maybe the first snow in November ever! It looks like after a mild summer, we are going to have one cold winter. Not being a huge fan of freezing temperatures, it’s hard to want to get dressed in more than just our workout pants & sweatshirts. But, let’s face it… it’s not always appropriate to be a workout imposter! On freezing cold days like we’ve had this past week, and when staying in the house is not an option, we keep reaching for one thing.. a buffalo plaid flannel shirt. They are so cozy and the perfect layering piece. On a normal Dallas fall day, this leather jacket would be enough – but with the weather we’ve been having a heavier coat is definitely a necessity!

Styling tip: To stay away from the lumberjack look, keep accessories feminine and wear a heeled bootie.

stripes on stripes

Stripes find a way into our wardrobe in a variety of options: tops, dresses & scarves. And they always seem to make it into our suitcase when we travel! This particular look was worn in Austin recently, and instead of opting for just one set of stripes, we went for double stripes. When the weather starts to cool down, this will look perfect with a cozy camel coat.
