packing list: scottsdale

Later this week we will be headed to Scottsdale for the long weekend. Words can’t express how excited we are to 1) lay in the sun, 2) shop & spa, 3) hike Troon North, and 4) eat & drink and enjoy everything the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale has to offer (which is a lot!). We’ll be taking over the Four Seasons Scottsdale’s Instagram starting Thursday, so be sure to follow along here! Yes, we know we aren’t escaping the heat, but we’ve heard that the desert heat is nothing compared to this Texas humidity. Our Scottsdale packing list includes: bikinis, cover ups, sun hats, sandals & books. We plan on getting a lot of r&r this holiday weekend and we can’t wait! floral shorts

As we said here last week , we’ve become big fans of the dressy short. These silk floral shorts are another good example. The muted floral print makes it easy to pair a lot of different colors of tops– which is always a plus! And, the drawstring tie and pleated details look great with a crop top as we’ve styled it here, or with an Equipment shirt tucked in. And some words we live by: The higher the heel, the dressier we feel! So these heels amp up the dressiness, but this gladiator sandal would look great too if we wanted to dress the outfit down. We may just have to get them in every pattern!

little white dress

Yes, we’ve all heard it before… you can never have enough little black dresses. And we totally agree! Except for in Spring/Summer, when white is what we want our little dress to be! A little white dress, or LWD, is the perfect thing to wear to stay looking fresh and feeling cool! From lace, to cotton & everything in between, a LWD is our go-to for pretty much every occasion. Except, of course, someone else’s wedding– we do live in the South after all!
