Early access to Nordstrom’s biggest (and best!) sale kicks off tomorrow and we seriously can not wait. We are so excited to be giving away two $100 gift cards to our readers (more details below). It’s not very often you can buy pre-season items at a discount, but once a year Nordstrom puts a selection of brand new fall and winter merchandise on sale! We’ve been shopping the Nordstrom sale for years- it’s a family tradition. Growing up, we always made a special trip to San Diego to shop the Anniversary sale! This was before the first Nordstrom opened in Dallas at the Galleria in 1996. Now, we are lucky enough to have three locations in the DFW area! Over all the years of shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, we have learned a thing or two about it! Here are a few tips that we have:
- Plan Ahead: Look for gaps in your Fall/Winter wardrobe now so you can see what you are missing for the next season.
- Make a list: List out the items that you need to add and prioritize! It’s easy to get distracted by a pair of leopard pumps when you really need a classic black ballet flat.
- Stock up on basics: Beauty products and tools, bras, panties, pajamas, jeans, coats and boots
- Splurge: This is a great time to invest in a designer item for next season at a discounted price
- Think ahead: We always do at least some early Christmas shopping during the sale. Make a list of the people you usually buy for and don’t forget about stocking stuffers!
- Shop early: With the huge discounts that are given, items go fast! Buy early, and you can always return if you end up not needing the item.
