Typically when we visit Southern California, we have to rethink our wardrobe a bit.  Texas summers call for as little clothing as possible, while still keeping modesty in mind!  It’s almost unbearable wearing jeans in the 100 degree weather + humidity.  But in Southern California, it’s usually the opposite.  Us Texas girls have a hard time with the cool, ocean air!  We usually opt for dresses during the day, but we always will bring along a scarf or lightweight jacket to put on when it gets chilly.  Ironically enough, when we visited Southern California last week the temperatures were warmer than Dallas!  This ombré dress by Rebecca Taylor was worn for a day spent in one of our favorite cities: La Jolla.  We dined at George’s at the Cove, did a little shopping & before heading to dinner in Del Mar with family friends, we walked down to put our toes in the water!
