This past weekend I made a spur of the moment decision to tag along on my husband’s business trip to NYC. He had a meeting scheduled for Monday afternoon and I had never been to New York, so we thought: Why not make a weekend of it?! We spent two nights at The Bowery Hotel and then one night in midtown, so I feel like for such a short visit, I got a good idea of what New York City is all about. We had a delicious dinner at Gemma in the hotel and and an amazing dinner at L’Artusi. We walked The Highline and Central Park. It was so much fun walking around experiencing the city’s culture. We stopped in for a drink at the Plaza Hotel and I absolutely loved it! Next trip I would love to go for tea. We had the best time and I cannot wait to go back!

This black maxi dress has been on repeat lately. It’s soft, comfortable, the fit is great and when the temperature starts to cool off, it’s perfect to wear with a jean jacket and booties!
