traditional english breakfast

October 21, 2013

We are back in Dallas after two wonderful weeks abroad.  The time flew by… how is it almost the end of October?  A week in London, a week in Paris & a day trip to the Champagne region in France, what could be better?  We can’t wait to share our adventures with you! We tried new foods, enjoyed wine & champagne & beer, saw as many sights as we could, while also shopping as much as possible!  And in two weeks, we still weren’t able to do do everything on our list.  I guess that means planning our next trip abroad begins now!

The overnight flight from DFW to London can be somewhat brutal, although champagne on the flight does help!  Landing in London with a whole day ahead of you is a little overwhelming.  Fortunately, our family in London makes the transition much easier.  Upon arrival to Flat 1, a traditional English breakfast awaited us.  It was delicious and just what we needed!

english breakfast

Traditional English Breakfast:

eggs, sunny-side-up (if you find making these eggs a challenge, this egg ring will change your life)

mushrooms halved and pan roasted

tomatoes halved and broiled

crispy bacon

english sausage

toast

homemade crab apple jelly (or any jelly you prefer)

Wine Pairing:

Breakfast + Champagne= Wine Pairing

What could be better than Champagne to celebrate the beginning of two weeks of vacation??

Cheers,

oxblood & lace

October 16, 2013

oxblood

Happy Wednesday! We are sad to leave Paris today, but looking forward to getting back to London to see family tonight! b&h loves the combination of these deep oxblood jeans and this feminine lace sleeved t-shirt by Rebecca Taylor. Adding the olive green booties and bag definitely say fall is here!  Once the temperatures drop, throw on a leather jacket and scarf and you are ready!
