You guys have no idea how ready we are for cooler temps! It has been so hot and muggy here for what seems like weeks. It’s the beginning of October y’all- it’s time for sweater weather! Today, we are so excited to be partnering with Banana Republic to share three classic fall looks – all revolving around a classic sweater!

For us a classic sweater is one that’s soft, cozy, a little oversized and makes you want to wear it on repeat all season long. These sweaters from Banana Republic check all those boxes for us. We love Kat’s blush pink with neutral accessories, Jean’s updated cable knit with puffy sleeves is adorable and Stia’s camel crewneck looks so classic with her black mules and tote bag. three key pieces to help transition your wardrobe into fall

Transitioning to fall can be a little tricky, especially when you live somewhere like Dallas where fall weather arrives late in the season. Wearing a blazer or heavy sweater just doesn’t make sense when it’s 90 degrees outside! Today, we’ve partnered with Banana Republic to bring you three key pieces to help transition your wardrobe to fall; a wide leg trouser, a lightweight sweater and a chic sheath dress.

Three Key Pieces to Help Transition your Wardrobe to Fall:

A lightweight sweater: the peplum detail takes a classic cable knit and makes it fun! This is the perfect sweater to wear once the temps drop into the 80’s. It’s so cute with slides and the white crossbody bag, but we can’t wait to wear our over the knee boots with it once it cools off.
The wide leg trouser in black is a great way to move your color palette into more of a fall mood. Here we paired the pant with a lightweight tee and sandals, but as the temps drop a bootie and sweater will be perfect.
The striped sheath dress is a great transition piece to wear to a fall wedding or event. And it will be the perfect thing to wear to a holiday party. It’s such a simple dress, but so elegant and chic. The ruffle collar is such a fun detail!

classics with a twist

Happy Tuesday! Thank you all for the well wishes for Henry! We are so crazy about him. Stia is at home now settling into life with two precious baby boys. We know it won’t be long before she, William and Henry are out and about!

Everyone has those classic pieces in their closet that never go out of style. Those items that are part of your wardrobe for years and years and tend to go with everything. Whether that’s a pencil skirt, trench coat, sheath dress or dress pants. This grey ruffle pencil skirt takes your traditional pencil skirt up a notch. The feminine details are perfect and it will look just as cute with your favorite sweater this fall.

Sloan dress pants are some of our absolute favorite dress pants. They fit so well and come in so many colors, too. We love the sailor details on this otherwise simple dress pant.
