If you saw our instagram last week, this printed tunic was a no-brainer to pack for Fashion Week. Even though it was freezing in New York, we couldn’t help but bring this colorful tunic to the Big Apple. It is such an easy to wear style. Because of the frigid temps, we added tights, over the knee boots & a very heavy coat! Once the weather starts to warm up, you will see this tunic on repeat with our favorite summer sandals & wedges. fall floral

Floral print was one of our favorite things to wear this summer. Some examples of our summer floral obsession are here, here & here. With the arrival of fall, we weren’t ready to give up floral in our wardrobe, so we set out to find a floral print that wasn’t too bright, too summery or too lightweight. This dress was just what we had in mind! The purple undertones, sleeves & great colors to wear with tights definitely fit the bill. After finding this dress and realizing there is a place for floral in the fall, we took the plunge on this floral top (see it on instagram here) and are still considering this midi skirt.

Today, we remember that day that forever changed our country. It was very sobering to be in New York during September and see the lights from where the World Trade Center towers once stood. Our thoughts and prayers are for those families who lost loved ones on that horrific day.

Fashion week was a complete whirlwind! It was our first time to attend and we had an absolute blast. The only thing missing was Katherine! Our only regret about our time in New York is not taking enough outfit post pictures. We snapped a few on our first day in New York and only got one more outfit post the whole time we were there! Don’t worry though, we will be sharing all our Fashion Week outfits over the next few weeks, but our background will be Dallas instead of New York!

We chose today’s looks for a day full of meetings and our first ever fashion show experience at Lincoln Center. We went to the Trina Turk – Mr. Turk Show and, let’s just say we are already longing for Spring/Summer ’15! For NYFW Day 1, Jean went with a fall floral dress from Trina Turk & Stia opted for an on-trend green midi skirt & floral crop top.
