william’s first christmas

Here we are at the end of November- Thanksgiving is Thursday! William is ten-months old (what?!) and we are gearing up for the holidays and his first Christmas. This time of year is my favorite time of year. It brings back so many childhood memories and I am looking forward to carrying on old traditions and starting new ones with William. One of my favorite traditions is sending and receiving Christmas cards. I especially love the ones that are personalized with photos of our friends and family. It’s such a great way to keep up with each other’s families and see how they have grown over the previous year. I’m sad to say that Caleb and I haven’t sent out any Christmas cards since the first year we were married, so I’m extra excited to be sending out our card this year for William’s first Christmas!

After doing some research, we chose Shutterfly to be our source for our personalized Christmas cards. The process was so easy from start to finish- we uploaded our picture to Shutterfly, chose our card design, and a few days later our cards arrived in the mail. With Shutterfly, it’s so much fun to build your entire holiday card needs around a common theme. We started with the “Merry Little Christmas” card, adding the kraft paper envelope and a liner to match the card. Next we decided on a coordinating return address label and Shutterfly also has the option of creating your own personalized postage stamp. How fun is that?? Putting the cards together was a snap with everything right at hand. I am happy to say that these should be in the mail before Thanksgiving- and if you know me, that is a game changer!

cozy boots for fall

Dallas weather has finally started to cool down. We were honestly wondering if it was ever going to happen! One of our favorite weekend activities is getting together for coffee (or wine ;)) and catching-up. Only six days until November. We can’t believe that the Christmas holidays are almost upon us. We realize that Halloween is not until Monday, but we like to be prepared and organized given the chaos that can overwhelm during this season.
