Thank goodness it’s Thursday! Anyone else? The week seemed especially long to us for some reason. We spent the majority of our time getting caught up on emails/blog content/admin work, getting ready for fall, and planning a few upcoming trips! All the while having a hard time believing it’s almost October!

Tie neck detailing is pretty much everywhere you look these days. We love the added detail it gives to otherwise plain dresses, shirts and coats. This tie neck dress is so cute for work wear. The print is subtle enough to not make too much of a fuss at the office and it’s so cute to wear for drinks after work. And this tote bag is another great option for work and for play. Love the strap, love the color and love the shape!

Working a 9-6 office job requires getting creative on the wardrobe front. Yes, interviewing called for a skirt suit and a button-down shirt. But, there’s such a fine line between stylishly work appropriate, and going a little too far from what’s acceptable! We usually find ourselves rushing from work to happy hour, dinner, or an event, which leaves no time for an outfit change. In order to be office appropriate, but also be able to head straight to an event after work, we’ve found these things to be our biggest lifesavers: 1) non-tailored dress pants 2) a cute top that can be worn under a blazer at the office & without afterwards, 3) a large tote bag to carry all the freshening up necessities & strappy shoes. What tricks do you have to go from the office to a social event?
