Being pregnant has opened my eyes to so many changes. Not only is my body changing daily, but because of that each day brings a new struggle of what to wear. Now that I am almost 31 weeks, the more and more difficult it has been to find cute clothes, while also trying to stay on trend!

Shades of red is a key trend for fall and considering that I already have some red in my closest, it has been easy to incorporate! This first look incorporates red for fall in the deep, red floral print dress. It’s a maternity dress (and oh, so soft), but here is a similar non-maternity version. The second look is a way to gradually wear red for fall. A beautiful lace-top (non-maternity version), skinny jeans and a pop of red heels, makes for an easy outfit without thinking too hard! weekend uniform

With each new season, we typically land on some kind of “uniform”. With full time jobs, that uniform is what you will find us in 90% of the time on the weekend. A weekend uniform is meant to be comfortable, but we still like to look put together. For Fall, that weekend uniform consists of an oversized sweater, skinny jeans, cute flats and a big tote bag.

To be honest, I have found it harder than I thought to find a good go-to maternity uniform. In my 28-week bumpdate, I talked about some recent maternity finds. These jeans are one of them. I quickly found out that I can’t do full panel maternity pants, so the search for side panel elastic started. These jeans from A Pea in the Pod have been a great addition. The dark denim wash makes them dressy enough for casual Fridays at work, and also great to run around in during the weekend. On another maternity style note, I have officially reached the point where most of my non-maternity tops are too short, so I am on the hunt for some more cute maternity top options. In the mean time, I am sticking mostly to longer shirts and dresses. I would love to hear what maternity top styles you found worked best!

Sunday in New York was just a perfect day. The weather was fall-like, the skies were blue and the temperature felt just right. After landing back in Dallas yesterday, we were greeted with warmer weather, but nothing compared to how hot it had been before we left. And after those few nice days in New York, fall cannot get here soon enough!

Shirtdresses have been a longtime favorite thing for us to wear any season, but we are especially loving them right now for fall. In the past, shirtdresses seemed to be more utilitarian or masculine, but there is nothing utilitarian or masculine about this floral shirtdress. Plus, we are loving the updated length and pretty much anything midi right now. Another detail of a shirtdress is the belt. It helps to accentuate any waist line, but since I am 22 (almost 23) weeks pregnant, I love how it helps show off my baby bump! When it gets a little cooler we think a long cardigan, like this one, will look great over it.
