What I’m Wearing for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is Sunday and I am so excited to celebrate my mom! After church on Sunday morning, we’ll most likely be spending the afternoon by the pool, but I plan on wearing this floral print dress for church and lunch. I ordered it during the Shopbop sale and love it even more in person!

With this dress, I sized up one size to a small to make room for my 32-week bump. I love that the straps are ties, because I can make the dress longer as my bump gets bigger and then wear it shorter post-pregnancy. Win/win! Back to reality after an incredible, long weekend in Laguna! As we are starting to edit pictures from our trip, we figured we could give you a small glimpse into our weekend. Before jetting to California Wednesday, a last minute shopping stop was in store. We can’t be the only ones that pick up a few last minute things before a trip!

After browsing the Topshop section at Nordstrom, this palm leaf dress was a definite yes, especially given the price tag! We’ve always been big fans of this print, and this no fuss dress is perfect for summer. A jean jacket was needed for a cooler beach day, but we are planning to wear this dress all summer long in Dallas, sans jacket of course!

It’s probably no surprise that we spent Fourth of July weekend at the Four Seasons Scottsdale, especially if you are following us on Instagram! Before our trip, we partnered with St. Bernard Sports for three resort appropriate outfits. For those of you who are unaware of St. Bernard Sports, they are a fantastic boutique headquartered in Austin, with stores in Dallas at Inwood Village and a new outlet located at the Shops at Park Lane, but they also have a great online shopping website! We’ve driven by St. Bernard Sports many times, never realizing that it’s much more than a sporting goods store. Let us be the first to tell you, that was a huge mistake! St. Bernard Sports does carry upscale sporting goods and sportswear (think ski, tennis, golf), but they also carry some of our favorite lines of contemporary designers: Joie, Trina Turk, Vince, Amanda Uprichard, Shoshanna, Nicole Miller & Ali Ro. With so many great designers to choose from it was a tough decision! We each chose a dress for a private dinner at the resort in the wine room at Talavera. For comfort & style in the desert heat, we opted for lightweight dresses and a lot of color. With all that color, light on the jewelry & a neutral shoe was the way to go!
