sleeveless sweater, fall transitional style, casual street style, white jeans for fallSlowly but surely, the weather is starting act more like fall in Dallas.  We aren’t quite to sweater weather yet, but with the help of sleeveless sweaters, we are getting there!  While in New York for Fashion Week, we picked up this great basic.  A sleeveless grey sweater goes with pretty much anything and is perfect for 80 degree weather.  Plus, we love the fact that it will look great under a classic black leather jacket once the weather cools down, and it will be so cute with a military jacket and a pair of booties.

Sleeveless sweaters are shown in most collections this season.  This is a great neutral and at a great price (only $68!).  We also love this classic black sleeveless sweater, and we think this striped sleeveless sweater is adorable!

This Thursday, October 1st, we are thrilled to be hosting the Neiman Marcus Shoe and Handbag event at Neiman Marcus Willow Bend with our friend Ashley of The Teacher Diva.  What could be better than an evening spent drooling over the latest shoes and handbags, sipping champagne and watching a runway show?  We will be talking about shoe and handbag trends for fall and how to style them!  Details can be found below- hope to see you there!

PS: I finally had to bite the bullet and start wearing maternity jeans.  Honestly, I don’t know why I waited so long!  These DL1961 maternity jeans are the exact same style as my favorite non-maternity pair, with just a bit of elastic added.  I am obsessed!

gray t-shirt dress

gray t-shirt dress, casual style for fall, fall transitional style, Helloo, Fall!  We’re so happy that you’re here.  Although we are still waiting for more fall-like temps, it looks like we are done with the triple-digits.  It’s been a slow process, but we are starting to transition to our fall wardrobes.  This gray t-shirt dress is helping with that transition.  It’s one of those items that can be worn from summer into fall and next summer all over again.  Here Katherine has styled it super casual, custom Converse sneakers and an over-sized tote bag make this the perfect outfit for weekend coffee or running errands.  Once the temps drop below the 90’s, we’ll add a scarf, lace-up flats and a leather jacket.  Until then, this is what fall dressing looks like around here!

On another note, we recently discovered the online boutique Buru.  It’s a great place to shop for any of you moms or moms to be!  It’s a well-curated collection of non-maternity fashion that works great for staying fashionable while pregnant, and is perfect for the lifestyle of a busy, stylish mom.  While in New York for Fashion Week, we had the pleasure of meeting with Buru’s founders Morgan and Brett Hutchinson.  Believe us when we say that Morgan is Buru- so stylish and fun!  Today Buru is celebrating its 24-month birthday and offering 24% off site-wide now through the 27th.  Here are some of our current favorites:  We are definitely adding some red this season, and this blouse is the perfect piece.  This dress is perfect for fall.  And a drape front dress is a statement maker on anyone!
