In the fall, sometimes we find it hard to wear a bright color. The weather is getting colder, the days are shorter, Christmas music is playing & we tend to gravitate towards more blacks, greys, and oxblood. But recently, while shopping at Gap during their Friends & Family sale, this fuchsia dress caught our eye! The bright color was a welcome change from our usual muted fall colors. Plus, it’s so easy to change the look of this dress. From bare legs and Valentino’s, to black tights and booties, this dress will take us through fall, well into the New Year.
Sometimes the perfect way to spend Friday night is to stay at home & watch a movie. And, in our opinion, there isn’t a better combination than a movie, popcorn, and frozen margaritas! We like to season our popcorn by adding a little spice, which also happens to go perfectly with the “secret” family margarita recipe….
1/2 tsp sweet paprika
1 tsp salt (we left this off because we used lightly salted popcorn)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 bag of lightly buttered microwave popcorn, popped
Combine spices in a small dish and sprinkle over the hot popcorn.
Editors’ note: We took the easy way and used microwave popcorn instead of the homade popcorn used in the recipe above. We’re inspired to try making our own homemade popcorn next time!
It’s hard to believe it’s only two weeks until Thanksgiving Day – fall is flying! In preparation for our big Thanksgiving dinner, we like to plan our table setting and look for new additions to our favorite china and stemware. We tend to go for a more elegant looking table and add in a few cutesy things like these Rifle Paper Co. place cards. Love them! Of course, the most important part of Thanksgiving is to remember to count your blessings and be thankful for each one!
