To celebrate the beginning of Christmas break, we decided to do a fun holiday baking with the boys once they get home from school. We knew they’d be tired, so we made it as stress-free as possible!

After making a list, we went to Walmart Online Pickup and Delivery and found everything we needed at the best prices. We actually ended up finding a few things at Walmart that weren’t on our list, but made the decorating even more fun. This cupcake decorating kit is so cute and these Santa plates were the icing on the (cup)cake. The boys loved decorating the cupcakes and we all had the best time!

Here are five tips for stress free holiday baking with toddlers:

5 Steps to Stress Free Holiday Baking with Toddlers

  • Order supplies from Walmart+ Online Pickup and Delivery: Walmart makes it so easy to shop for stress free baking with everything laid out right here. We ordered cake mix, frosting tubs, sprinkles, festive cupcake liners and cupcake picks; we also ordered cute paper plates and napkins for our decorating session, and colored ramekins to hold our decorating supplies and with our Walmart+ membership, everything was delivered just a few hours later!
  • Make cupcakes and frost them: We opted to do this during nap time, so everything was ready to go!
  • Distribute sprinkles and decorations among the ramekins: We used this four cell sugar mix, christmas tree sprinkle mix and this six cell assorted sprinkle mix.
  • Give each child a cupcake with frosting of their choice; we used chocolate and vanilla
  • Let them decorate their cupcakes using any and/or all of the decorating supplies… eat and enjoy!

Christmas Pajamas

December 8, 2020

One of our favorite holiday traditions is to wear matching pjs on Christmas Eve. It’s so much fun to have new pajamas and especially for Christmas. The boys get so excited to wear their Christmas pajamas, they understand that it’s something special. We put them on right after we finish dinner, and then we spend the evening playing games or sometimes doing some last minute wrapping. We usually end up spending the most of the day in them on Christmas, staying comfy and cozy all day long. We would love to hear some of your favorite holiday traditions!

Christmas Pajamas for Kids

The boys have been wearing this brand of pajamas for Christmas since William’s first (!) Christmas. We love the fun prints and they are so soft, too! Ford is in the onesie and the boys are in the two-piece set.

Christmas Pajamas for Her

After we found the boys’ Christmas pajamas, we wanted something that would coordinate, but not scream “Christmas” as we like to wear them year round! We found these light pink and white striped pajamas and loved the color and that they wren’t strictly for Christmas! They also come in a shorts version and blue and white.

Holiday Tablescape

December 1, 2020

family group by Christmas tree

One of our favorite things about the holidays is getting the whole family together to celebrate. We love to gather around the table and share a yummy home-cooked meal and some good wine to go with it. We often start with a cocktail and a some time to catch up with each other and then move to the dining room for the meal.

Creating a special table is always part of the fun. We love layering placemats and table linens, and coming up with combinations of glassware and flatware. Flowers are always important too! The boys have grown up watching us set the table for these special family times and now William and Henry love to join in and “help” us. It’s so sweet.
