As a general rule we don’t make New Year’s resolutions, but following all the eating & drinking that comes along with the holidays, heading to the gym is a given. It’s actually an absolute necessity! Sometimes it’s hard to make ourselves get out the door to workout, but having some new cute workout clothes helps motivate us. A new colorful sports bra, comfy yoga pants, or a cute Lululemon jacket inspire us to get out and get going!

mimosa bar

Happy New Year’s Eve! We like mimosas for almost any celebration, especially if we are starting our celebration mid-morning! We set up our first mimosa bar on our bar cart for Christmas Day (see a picture from Instagram here). We loved how festive it turned out, but now that the Christmas holidays are over, we decided it would be fun to find other occasions for a mimosa bar! In fact, we thought it would be perfect for our New Year’s Day brunch tomorrow. Here are our tips for styling a mimosa bar:

Choose three types of juice- Our favorites are orange, cranberry & grapefruit
Choose one to three types of fruit to garnish the mimosa- Pomegranate seeds look beautiful, and so do raspberries and blueberries
Add some flowers for a pop of color
Hang chalkboard signs around each kind of juice
Kitschy & cute cocktail napkins set the tone for fun!

A pink coat is an easy way to make a statement with hardly any fuss. When wearing a coat like this, a major pop-of-color, the rest of your outfit should be pretty minimal. Our favorite pair of black distressed jeans from Neimans & a simple black top keep this look monochromatic – and the attention on this great coat!

Style tip: Keep jewelry minimal with a cross body bag like this, it works as jewelry by itself.
