Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access is in full swing! One of our tips for shopping Early Access is that splurge items should probably be at the top of your list. The reason for that is not only is this a great time to get those splurge items at a much better price, but also because they tend to sell out fast. These are our top five splurges of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but there are other worthy splurges as well. Go ahead and treat yourself

Stuart Weitzman Suede Over the Knee Boots

If you’re going to make just one splurge, these over the knee boots should be it. We live in over-the-knee boots in the winter and you just can’t go wrong with Stuart Weitzman. The shoes they make are so comfortable and last for years. We first splurged on a pair of Stuart Weitzman boots about six years ago and they still look like new. Every year we add a pair in a new color. We love the brown suede, but you also can’t go wrong with classic black. Get them fast – they are $300 off!

MICHELE Watch

The three of us love our Michele watches. Michele makes a beautiful watch and one of our favorite features is that the bracelet is interchangeable with other bracelets or straps. This two-tone, diamond dial watch is a total splurge, but the perfect watch if you are looking for a forever watch. Plus, it’s almost $600 off!

Tory Burch Tote Bag

Top 10 items to buy during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access 2017:

Shoes and Boots: The slide/mule is here to stay into fall and winter, and this pair is just adorable. We are also loving the pearl version. Anniversary Sale is also the perfect time to replenish and restock your boots for fall and winter. A block heel and suede in the perfect neutral mean this bootie is going to go fast! This ankle boot in blush pink suede is definitely a must have and we are obsessed with these velvet floral booties.
Jeans: Last year at the Anniversary Sale, we purchased our first pair of this brand jeans; we have loved them and worn them over and over. This pair is at the top of our list now! Also we love these split hem jeans at a lower price but so on point for style and a classic legging jean with frayed hem is a great option.
Handbags: We’re loving this hobo bag in the prettiest shade of lavender that we’re seeing everywhere for fall, this satchel in a perfect fall neutral and this olive green crossbody bag.
Sunglasses: This is the time to up your sunglasses game! These cat’s eye sunnies from a favorite designer are a great choice, these designer shades are on so on point with the round lens and these over-sized frames make a fashion statement.
Makeup and Beauty: Moving from summer to fall means a slight, but definite change in our makeup palette. With all the eye color and lip color sets available on the Anniversary Sale, this is the perfect time to plan ahead and add some new color. A couple of our favorites are this eye and cheek collection (what a great value!) and this lip pencil/lip color duo.
Activewear: We always purchase new activewear during the Sale; the styles are fresh and the prices are just so good! These leggings, this sports bra and this pullover are must haves.

Trend items: Velvet, embroidery, bell sleeves, jeans with new details are all trend items that are showing strong. Our top picks are these booties, this ruffle t-shirt dress, this adorable sweater and jeans with a different spin.
Watch/Jewelry: This is the time to invest in a watch at a great price. We love Michele watches because of their versatility with watch strap options and this is about the only time you will ever find them on sale!
Designer Splurge: If you are ever going to splurge, now is the time! This over the knee boot is a great choice. We bought our first pair at Anniversary Sale a few year ago and never regretted it. We also are crazy over this leather tote bag and think it’s a great choice for your splurge!

striped off the shoulder dress Happy Monday! We are in Vail this week and are loving our time here so much. The Four Seasons Vail is our home base this week and we couldn’t be happier! It is an amazing place. The weather has been beautiful and yesterday we spent the day walking around the Farmer’s Market. It was warm, so this off the shoulder dress was the perfect thing to wear. Tips for Shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017:

Pick up an Anniversary Sale catalog and look through it carefully, making note of all the items that you want to purchase during the sale.
Using those items as a springboard, make a list of the things that you need to replace in your current wardrobe for the coming Fall and Winter seasons.
Now make a list of trend items that you want to add to update your basic pieces. By looking through the catalog, you will get a good idea of what trend items are going to be must haves for Fall and Winter, and what trend items appeal to you and will work with your style.
Last, but definitely not least, make a list of splurge items. In fact, this should probably be the first list you make Those designer or investment pieces that you’ve always wanted will be on sale for a limited time. Get them now! These are the things that will be in your wardrobe for years, if not forever- so it’s worth spending more than you would normally.
