Easter Basket Fillers from Walmart

This time of year is always busy for us. Within a one month span we celebrate five family birthdays, so Easter really snuck up on us this year! Being that it is this weekend, we decided to utilize Walmart’s Online Pickup & Delivery service to order all the fillers for the boys’ Easter baskets. Walmart has the best selection of fun toys, Easter specific items and candy for Easter baskets. Not to mention, Walmart carries so many of our favorite grocery items, too.

Walmart Online Pickup & Delivery is such a great service for those with busy schedules. Prices are always the same low prices as found in store and never any hidden fees. Walmart Online Pickup is always free, while there is small charge for the Walmart Delivery service and a $35 minimum order applies. I am always happy to pay a small fee for the stress free convenience of not having to shop with three little ones in tow!

While the boys were sleeping, I was able to order everything I needed to fill their Easter baskets and it was all delivered to my door in just a few hours. So easy and so cute! Here’s what I ordered:

Easter Basket Fillers

Toys: I like to put some fun little toys in their baskets. I ordered mini construction trucks, hot wheels, bubbles, play doh, water bottle and a cute Easter craft.
Easter eggs: For our annual Easter egg hunt!
Easter grass: Walmart has every color you need!
Candy: I couldn’t resist these Reese’s carrots, M&M filled eggs and Starburst jelly beans. Ford loves these mini Annie’s bunnies, too.

Kitchen Before + After

This is about two years overdue, but wanted to share the details on our kitchen remodel, including before/after photos. Our kitchen reno was pretty minor (nothing moved), but it changed the room in a big way!

We took down wallpaper, installed hardwoods, painted walls and cabinets, updated appliances, selected new counters and backsplash, reworked the pantry doors, installed new lighting, removed the island, changed the bar seating to counter height and installed new window coverings and windows. Typing that makes it seem like a lot, but it was all cosmetic.

Our breakfast nook isn’t done yet. We are currently working on decorating it and will share more when it’s complete! Our table currently seats 4, so we will be getting new table/chairs to accomodate up to six people and adding art!

Holiday Tablescape

One of our favorite things about the holidays is getting the whole family together to celebrate. We love to gather around the table and share a yummy home-cooked meal and some good wine to go with it. We often start with a cocktail and a some time to catch up with each other and then move to the dining room for the meal.

Creating a special table is always part of the fun. We love layering placemats and table linens, and coming up with combinations of glassware and flatware. Flowers are always important too! The boys have grown up watching us set the table for these special family times and now William and Henry love to join in and “help” us. It’s so sweet.
